Muitas vezes essa pergunta pode ser um tormento. Isso porque em ingl\u00eas, quando um verbo \u00e9 seguido imediatamente por outro verbo; em alguns casos, um verbo s\u00f3 admite a constru\u00e7\u00e3o com ger\u00fandio ou com infinitivo, em outros casos podemos aceitar ambos. Da\u00ed a grande d\u00favida do que usar e de quando usar.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"canais\/tempos verbais\/inifinitive_gerund.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p><p>Primeiro passo \u00e9 diferenciar o ger\u00fandio do infinitivo. O ger\u00fandio \u00e9 empregado da seguinte forma: <strong>VERBO + ING.<\/strong> J\u00e1 a forma do infinitivo \u00e9: <strong>TO + RADICAL DO VERBO<\/strong>. Sabendo disso fica mais f\u00e1cil diferenciar os dois.<\/p><p><strong>Exemplo de ger\u00fandios em ingl\u00eas: <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>eating, drinking, sleeping, studying, leaving<\/em><\/span><br \/><strong>Exemplo de infinitivos em ingl\u00eas: <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>to eat, to drink, to sleep, to study, to leave<\/em><\/span><\/p><p><strong>N\u00e3o h\u00e1 uma regra espec\u00edfica para esses verbos!<\/strong>\u00a0Portanto, precisamos realizar v\u00e1rias atividades para que esses verbos sejam \u201c<strong>internalizados<\/strong>\u201d e assim possamos utiliz\u00e1-los com confian\u00e7a. Preparamos algumas dicas para que voc\u00ea possa acabar de vez com a d\u00favida. Observe a seguir:<\/p><p><strong>1. <\/strong>No portugu\u00eas, quando os verbos s\u00e3o substantivos eles ficam no infinitivo. Por\u00e9m, no ingl\u00eas, ficam no ger\u00fandio. Essa \u00e9 uma das grandes confus\u00f5es feitas pelos estudantes de l\u00edngua inglesa porque eles querem traduzir ao \u201cp\u00e9 da letra\u201d e dessa forma n\u00e3o funciona.
